The goal
Use a small fund, then show honestly what happened
Take real action: build, test, publish, organize, research, or reach out to people. Gather information, measure what happened, list the resources you used, reflect honestly, and show your completed work through the official process.
What can count
- Websites, code, no-code tools, and automation
- AI tools, online research, and data collection
- Content, social media, video, and design
- Online organizing, outreach, and coordination
- An existing school project used for a new test
What does not count
- Simply donating the $5 or submitting an idea without acting on it
- Old work without a new test
- Made-up work, data, engagement, or impact
- Copying someone else’s work, scams, exploitation, harassment, or publishing private personal details
- Unsafe, illegal, harmful, deceptive, or rule-breaking activity
- Private information used without permission
Ownership and additional resources
Disclosure keeps the experiment honest
Additional resources
Personal funds, existing tools, free software, donated resources, external funding, services, materials, or platform credits may be used when disclosed clearly. Spending more does not improve a score by itself.
Ownership
The builder retains original work unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Existing capstones are not absorbed by DoGoodie, and third-party assets must be licensed correctly.
